Outdoor School Internship Program

Thank you for your interest in Outdoor School!

Outdoor interns work year-round to support outdoor education and various camping programs in the Frio River Canyon. Interns specialize in various adventure recreation facilitation, rescues, and training. They gain a variety of skills ranging from waterfront management, shooting sports, high ropes, science based teaching, mountain biking, and much more. Interns work closely with the Outdoor Director of Programming to create and deliver curriculum and with the Outdoor Director of Operations to prepare for and manage upcoming events. The ideal Outdoor intern candidate has a passion for serving guests, working outdoors, and being part of a close knit team.

Completed applications for the 2018-2019 LLYC internship must be submitted by November 30, 2017. Contact Karla Heath (karla@llyc.org; 830-315-9219) with any questions regarding the H. E. Butt Foundation Internship Program.
